Macroplanning is the big picture. It is the process through which every big decision is made about a mass ITN distribution campaign. It is the time when the overall distribution goal, timeline and budget are set, together with the distribution channel(s) and mode of distribution, e.g. household registration and distribution via distribution sites, or ITNs situated at prepositioning sites and distribution door-to-door. Macroplanning also covers requirements for personnel, logistics, training, social and behaviour change (SBC), supervision and monitoring.
