Microplanning gathers critical operational and financial information from the lowest possible implementation levels. It is carried out at the implementation level and refines the macroplan into a detailed operational plan and budget that reflects the local context and specific issues that may affect campaign activities at the implementation level. More concrete, detailed and up-to-date information is provided from such as health facilities, community and civil society organizations to feed into the operational plan. Microplanning has generally been conducted at microplanning workshops. Comprehensive guidance on conducting microplanning workshops can be found here.
