ITN Distribution Channel: Continuous distribution

Publication Date: May 2025

Country: Ghana, Nigeria, Zambia

This collection brings together country-developed resources supporting school-based malaria prevention and insecticide-treated net distribution.

It includes:

  • Ghana: a communication guide for teachers promoting malaria prevention through primary schools.
  • Nigeria: a comprehensive teacher’s guide covering malaria information, key messages, school and community activities, discussion questions, and planning tools for malaria-free schools and communities.
  • Zambia: a roleplay slide deck presenting key messages for school-based ITN distribution.
  • Zambia: an orientation package for implementing the School-Based Distribution Programme.

These resources provide practical examples of how national malaria programmes have engaged teachers, schools and communities in malaria prevention, communication and school-based ITN distribution. They can be used as references when developing or adapting similar materials in other country contexts.
