This document outlines the suggested contents of guidelines for the implementation of ITN distribution through routine health services. National malaria programmes (NMPs) should lead and collaborate with partners to fill in the text with their own country-specific information. These guidelines should be used as a planning and implementation manual, and should be supplemented with additional specific instructions, such as job aids or standard operating procedures (SOPs) as well as training (see section 7), for staff involved in ITN distribution at different levels of the health service. NMPs are encouraged to modify the table of contents and add annexes to ensure that the final document is the complete implementation guidelines for ITN distribution through routine health services.
